*Lifetime‘s new film “The Wrong Cheer Captain” is scheduled to drop at the end of this month (Aug. 29) and will star Vivica A. Fox, who will also executive produce, Jackée Harry, Claire Tablizo and Sofia Masson in a thrilling mystery when the death of a cheerleader leads to a list of suspects, including the new cheer captain. Days of Our Lives is entering the streaming world. NBCUniversal’s streaming platform Peacock has ordered a limited series featuring characters from the long-running NBC soap. The five-part Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem will feature past and present fan favorites who are caught up in a mystery involving stolen jewels. The cast for the limited series will feature current Days stars Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Jackée Harry, James Reynolds, Victoria Konefal, Robert Scott Wilson, Billy Flynn, Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers. And there’s Maude … on a streaming platform for the first time. Amazon and Sony Pictures TV have struck a deal that will bring an extensive catalog of legendary producer Norman Lear’s shows to the Amazon’s Prime Video and IMDb TV streaming services. The titles headed to the two platforms are Maude, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, 227, Good Times, the original One Day at a Time, Diff’rent Strokes, Sanford & Son and Sanford. Sony has held rights to much of Lear’s extensive catalog since 1985, when it acquired his Embassy Communications. Presenters, special appearances and on-air categories have been announced for the 48th ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY(R) AWARDS, to be broadcast Friday, June 25 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on the CBS app and Paramount+.
